Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to all mobile apps, desktop apps, and services published by Orange Forge. By using any of our apps, you agree to this policy.
1. Who We Are
Orange Forge is an independent software studio that builds iOS, Android, macOS, and desktop applications. Our apps are available on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and other platforms. You can contact us at info@orangeforge.agency.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide our services. Depending on which app you use and whether you create an account, we may collect:
- Account information — email address and name, only if you create an account or sign in with Apple
- App usage data — screens viewed, features used, session length, and general usage patterns (anonymized)
- Purchase information — subscription status and transaction history, to verify and restore purchases
- Device information — device type, operating system version, and app version, for crash reporting and compatibility
- Crash reports — technical error data when the app crashes, to help us fix bugs
- App-specific data — content you create within our apps (such as filter records, task lists, or notes), stored locally on your device and optionally synced via iCloud
We do not collect:
- Your precise location
- Your contacts or address book
- Your photos or camera (unless an app’s core feature requires it, in which case we ask for permission first)
- Any biometric data
- Any data for advertising purposes
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect to:
- Provide and improve our apps and services
- Process and verify your subscription or purchase
- Send push notifications you have opted into
- Diagnose crashes and fix bugs
- Understand how features are being used so we can improve them
- Respond to your support requests
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with advertisers.
4. Third-Party Services
Our apps use the following trusted third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data:
| Service | Purpose | Data Shared | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple CloudKit | iCloud sync across your devices | App data you choose to sync | apple.com |
| Apple Sign In | Optional account creation | Email (optional), name | apple.com |
| RevenueCat | Subscription and purchase management | Purchase history, subscription status | revenuecat.com |
| Supabase | Account management and cloud storage (used in apps that require an account) | Email, account data | supabase.com |
| Firebase Analytics | Anonymous usage analytics | Anonymized usage events, device info | firebase.google.com |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash reporting and bug fixing | Crash logs, device info, app version | firebase.google.com |
| Firebase Cloud Messaging | Push notifications (only if you opt in) | Device push token | firebase.google.com |
5. Data Storage and Security
Your app data is stored primarily on your device using secure local storage. If an app offers cloud sync or account features, data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored on secure servers.
Authentication tokens and sensitive credentials are stored in your device’s secure Keychain — Apple’s hardware-encrypted storage — never in plain text.
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong passcode on your device.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.
Anonymized analytics data (which cannot identify you) may be retained indefinitely to help us improve our apps.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion — request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Portability — request your data in a portable format
- Opt out — opt out of analytics or push notifications at any time in the app settings or your device settings
- Withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@orangeforge.agency. We will respond within 30 days.
8. California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- The right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used
- The right to delete your personal information
- The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
We do not sell your personal information. To submit a CCPA request, contact us at info@orangeforge.agency.
9. European Residents (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) including the rights listed in Section 7 above.
Our legal basis for processing your data is:
- Contract — to provide the service you signed up for
- Legitimate interests — to improve our apps and fix bugs
- Consent — for push notifications and optional features
If you have concerns about how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Children’s Privacy
Our apps are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at info@orangeforge.agency and we will delete it promptly.
11. Push Notifications
Some of our apps offer push notifications to remind you of important events or updates. We will always ask for your permission before sending notifications. You can opt out at any time by going to your device’s Settings app and adjusting the notification permissions for the relevant app.
12. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
Purchases and subscriptions made through our apps are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not store your payment card information. Subscription management is handled through RevenueCat. You can cancel a subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you through the app or via email if you have an account. Your continued use of our apps after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
